Made by artists - for artists, The Fine Line is a blog dedicated to emerging voices in the creative realm. As a musician myself, I’ve had trouble trying to establish the boundaries between being a musician and a music journalist. Approaching the industry from two different perspectives hasn’t been an easy task, but I definitely enjoy the different challenges that come with each. Thus, the Fine Line is an attempt to meet somewhere in the middle of my creative spectrum, while respecting each endeavor.
Born and raised in New York City, Kris Kesoglides is a self-taught musician, with roots in poetry and creative writing. When he began playing piano and guitar, he found that music complemented his artistic pallette, and decided to pursue a career in songwriting. This led him to collaborate with an array of artists and indulge in pop, rock, hip-hop, and electronic music. After earning a Bachelor’s in Journalism at Baruch College, he studied production and sound design at the Garnish Music school in Brooklyn. He currently resides in Honolulu, writing and producing for his band Fine Life, as well as other local artists.
